Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Appointees must be a veteran as defined by Federal Statute. Preference in selection will be given to veterans with service-connected disabilities. Appointments may be made at the Trainee 1 or Trainee 2 level.
Note: Positions filled at the Trainee 1 or Trainee 2 level will advance upon satisfactory performance over the two- to three-year traineeship to Labor Services Representative (Disabled Veterans Outreach), Grade 16.
To qualify for the Labor Services Representative Trainee 1 (DVOP), you must be a veteran and have two years of general office or business experience, one year of which involved public contact.
To qualify for the Labor Services Representative Trainee 2 (DVOP), you must be a veteran and meet on of the following conditions:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree*; OR
2. One year of experience in counseling veterans; OR
3. One year of experience in job placement and counseling work; OR
4. One year of experience in planning, administering, or monitoring employment and training programs
Hourly LSR’s are not eligible for transfer or reassignment.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
Labor Services Representative (Disabled Veterans Outreach Program) will provide and facilitate a full range of employment and training services to veterans, focusing on providing and facilitating intensive services to veterans with significant barriers to employment. They will provide case management services and conduct outreach activities. The incumbent will provide services at other out-station locations as assigned.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evening and/or out-stationed assignments.
